Family Ministry Weekend at Main Street Church
Join Dr. Dave Currie and Donalyn Currie at Main Street Church in Chilliwack for a weekend of practical, Bible-centred teaching designed to strengthen parents, marriages, and families.
The Family Ministry Weekend runs April 16–18, 2027, with opportunities to participate throughout the weekend. Friday evening will equip parents to navigate two important challenges facing families today, Saturday will be dedicated to strengthening marriages through the Fusion 2:1 Marriage Seminar, and Dave will conclude the weekend by speaking at Main Street Church’s Sunday services.
Friday, April 16 | iParent Workshop | 6:30–9:30 PM
Parenting in today’s media-saturated culture brings challenges previous generations never had to navigate. During this special iParent workshop, Dr. Dave will provide practical, faith-based guidance to help parents approach two important areas with greater confidence and clarity.
The evening will feature two sessions:
Technological Warfare: Preparing Your Kids for Online Battle
Learn practical ways to help your children navigate technology and the online world with wisdom and healthy boundaries.
Controlling the Sexual Download: Giving the Best Sex Talk Possible
Gain practical direction for having healthy, meaningful, and age-appropriate conversations with your children about sexuality.
The evening will include a 15-minute break and time for Q&A.
Saturday, April 17 | Fusion 2:1 Marriage Seminar | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Spend a day investing in your marriage with Dr. Dave and Donalyn Currie. Fusion 2:1 is a one-day marriage-building experience designed for couples who want to strengthen their connection and build a marriage they genuinely love being a part of.
Through biblical teaching, practical insights, and intentional couple discussion, Dave and Donalyn will explore six important areas of marriage:
- The Laws of Attraction: Keeping fun and friendship alive in your relationship.
- The Gravity of Baggage: Resolving hurts so you can love each other more freely.
- The Acceleration of Connection: Understanding your spouse at a deeper level.
- The Drag of Friction: Responding to disagreements with respect.
- The Combustion of Passion: Building greater oneness and mutual satisfaction in your sexual relationship.
- Finalé: Maximizing your marriage by intentionally braiding God into your lives.
The day includes six sessions, two 15-minute breaks, a 45-minute lunch break, and intentional opportunities for couples to discuss and apply what they’re learning together.
Sunday, April 18 | Passing On Your Faith to the Next Generation
Dr. Dave will join Main Street Church for its Sunday services with a message on Passing On Your Faith to the Next Generation, encouraging parents and grandparents to intentionally model and share a genuine faith that can continue through generations.
